What we do
A clearer picture of vehicle value.
We review your situation first, then explain which service may be appropriate in your state.
01 / VALUATION
Independent vehicle value review
If you want an independent valuation, we study your vehicle’s condition, mileage, features, and recent work, then compare similar vehicles for sale. We explain what the evidence says about its value in a written assessment. You can request this service without using an insurance policy’s appraisal process.
02 / APPRAISAL
Appraisal after a total loss
If you disagree with the value assigned to your totaled vehicle, we can review whether your policy’s appraisal clause applies. When it does and state rules allow, we can serve as your independent appraiser: we research the vehicle and market, prepare a written appraisal, and take part in the value process described by the policy.
Our approach
A clear reason behind every value.
We look at your vehicle’s details and similar vehicles for sale. We explain how those facts support our conclusion.
01
Understand your situation
Tell us what happened, share your vehicle details and the valuation you received, and let us know what concerns you. We review that information to decide which service may help.
02
Compare similar vehicles
We look for comparable vehicles in your local market and, when reasonable, widen the search. We consider differences in mileage, equipment, condition, and recent work that may affect value.
03
Explain the result
We put our findings in writing, identify the vehicles and details we considered, and explain how we reached our opinion of value in plain language.
04
Final review
I personally review every final appraisal before it goes to you.
Meet the founder
Why I started True Legacy.
My name is Kyle, and I’m the founder of True Legacy Auto Solutions. I spent 12 years as a field adjuster and catastrophe insurance claims responder, the majority of which was focused on vehicles declared a total loss and determining their value for a fair settlement. I started this company to put that experience to work for people who need clear answers at a difficult time.
Working on the insurance side, I saw how much the details matter. A vehicle’s condition, features, recent work, and similar vehicles for sale can affect its value. Owners deserve a careful review and a clear explanation of the number they have been given.
I built True Legacy to give everyday vehicle owners access to independent research and appraisal when they may feel overwhelmed by a total-loss decision. I want you to feel heard, understand the evidence, and know what options may be available to you. If the facts support a different value, I can explain and document why. Every vehicle is different. No higher value or particular insurance payment is guaranteed.
Good to know
Common questions.
What happens in the preliminary review?
We gather information about your vehicle and situation to determine which service, if any, we can provide. The preliminary review is free. We do not give advice on negotiating or settling an insurance claim.
What does your appraisal cover?
We compare your vehicle with similar ones in your local market, or a wider market when reasonable, then explain our opinion of its value in writing. We will tell you exactly what work we can do before we begin.
Can you take part in my policy’s appraisal process?
That’s one of the main reasons I founded True Legacy! If your policy has an appraisal clause that applies to your vehicle-value disagreement, I would be glad to review it with you. We must review your policy and state rules before taking that role.
How much does an appraisal cost?
The preliminary review is free. If we can help, we will explain the work and its set price before you agree to pay.
